Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Bizsenti Capture handles information when users install and use the Bizsenti Capture Chrome extension.
1. Summary
Bizsenti Capture is built to record screen content locally in the user's browser. The launch version does not require account creation, does not provide cloud storage by default, and does not upload recordings to Bizsenti servers as part of normal use.
2. Information the extension accesses
The extension may access the following information only when the user actively chooses to use the product:
- Display media selected by the user through Chrome's screen sharing prompt, such as an entire screen, app window, or browser tab
- Microphone audio if the user enables audio capture
- System or tab audio where Chrome and the selected share source support it
- Basic local settings such as audio preference, quality preference, and onboarding completion state
3. How information is used
Bizsenti Capture uses this information solely to provide the recording functionality requested by the user, including:
- Capturing video and audio selected by the user
- Saving recordings locally to the user's device in WebM format
- Remembering local extension settings through Chrome storage
4. Data storage
In the current launch version, recordings are stored locally by the user on their own device through Chrome's downloads flow. Settings are stored locally using Chrome storage. Bizsenti Capture does not provide default remote storage or background synchronization in this version.
5. Data sharing and sale
Bizsenti Capture does not sell personal information. Bizsenti Capture does not share recording content with third parties as part of the extension's standard local-only workflow.
6. Permissions
The extension requests only the permissions needed for the current feature set:
- storage: to save local settings such as recording quality and onboarding state
- downloads: to export completed recordings to the user's device
7. User choice and control
- Users choose whether to start recording
- Users choose what screen, window, or tab to share
- Users choose whether to include microphone audio
- Users can stop recording at any time
- Users choose where to save exported files when prompted
8. Children
Bizsenti Capture is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law to provide consent for data processing. If a guardian believes a child has used the extension inappropriately, they should remove the extension and manage saved files locally on the device.
9. Future changes
If Bizsenti Capture adds optional features in the future such as accounts, cloud storage, AI transcription, or team collaboration, this Privacy Policy should be updated before those features are launched.
